for today

for today...

outside my window... 57F/cloudy @ 5am (thunderstorms forecasted)
i am thinking... staying home & healthy, however, the coronavirus quarantine is growing weary;
a nation in crisis, reminding me of the Vietnam War era :(
i am thankful for... warm summer days, and cool summer nights
i am wearing... black jeans, cream T, cotton hoodie, Birkenstocks
i am going... to town for groceries & birdseed
i am currently reading...
"Where The Crawdads Sing,"  by Deliah Owens
i am hoping... tomato & herb seedlings are available
on my mind... gas @ $2.23/gallon, milk @ $1.99/half gallon, butter @ $2.49/lb
pondering these words...
"It is the month of June,
the Month of leaves and roses,
When pleasant sights salute the eyes,
And pleasant scents the noses."
Nathaniel Parker Willis, The Month of June ~
from the kitchen...
hint of lime tacos
white pizza with fresh spinach and beefsteak tomatoes
muddy buddies
around the house...  lilacs & purple phlox in vases
one of my favorite things...  the Pennsylvania Mountain Laurel
a few plans for the week... laundry, gardening
from my lens:
a heron out for an afternoon stroll,
although I usually see you flying over the creek
