for today...

outside my window... 52F/cloudy/slight chance of a shower this PM @ 11:00 am
i am thinking... IM is essential to check in with friends & loved ones
i am thankful for... my friend, Kathy, who has been lovingly sewing face masks;
and I continue to pray for everyone risking their lives to keep us safe & fed during this pandemic
i am wearing... tan jeans, white T, denim shirt, Birkenstocks
i am going... no where, will be @ my desk... it's National Scrapbooking Day/weekend
i am currently reading...
What It's Like To Be A Bird: David Allen Sibley
i am hoping... for more warm, sunny days
on my mind... gas @ $1.96/gallon, milk @ $1.85/half gallon, butter @ $3.99/lb
pondering these words...
"Now every field is clothed with grass,
and every tree with leaves;
now the woods put forth their blossoms,
and the year assumes its gay attire."
~ Virgil ~
from the kitchen...
ingredients for a focaccia
fresh strawberries, dessert cups & whipped cream
around the house...  a new hummingbird feeder
one of my favorite things...  it's apple blossom time!
i'm creating... the May Challenges @ The Lilypad
a few plans for the week... laundry, yardwork
from my lens:
so happy to see buds on the lilac bushes,
as they were covered with 3" of snow last week;
and a brief moment of blue skies,
after several days of non-stop rain

What a lovely daybook post, Deborah. Thank you so much.

Lovely photos...we're waiting for our lilacs to start budding and breaking forth down the road into that glorious fragrance. We haven't had snow lately, but the air is still cool especially if it's windy.

I enjoyed the Virgil quote.

Wishing you a beautiful day....

Our lilacs are just about to blossom! We had snow last week but it melted before it hit the ground.
