for today

for today...

outside my window... 36F/rain/snow/high wind warning
i am thinking... spring bulbs poking through the earth is a welcome sight
i am thankful for... my new mailbox surviving the wrath of the snowplow this winter
i am wearing... jeans, thermal shirt, fleece hoodie & Birkenstocks
i am going... to Farm & Tractor for gardening suppliies
i am currently reading...  "Make Trouble," by Cecile Richards
i am hoping... to clean my woodstove for the last time til fall
on my mind... gas @ $2.95/gallon, milk @ $2.65/gallon, butter @ $3.99/lb
pondering these words... "No Winter lasts forever, no Spring skips its turn.
April is a promise that May is bound to keep, and we know it."
~ Hal Borland ~
from the kitchen... risotto with asparagus
around the house... spiderwebs *eek*
one of my favorite things... pussywillows
i'm creating... spring graphics
a few plans for the week...  yardwork
from my lens:

* the first robin appeared 3/29/18
unfortunately, it's been snowing off and on ever since *

I love the way you framed the robin photo with leaves!

Down here in Florida, we've been dealing with weeks and weeks of rain, far more than usual. I don't do snow, except when visiting my father.

Visiting from Simple Woman's Daybook!

I'm a little late and new to the Daybook. I love your quote about the seasons. It's been a wacky june. Even this morning, june 15th in Baltimore and I need a sweater.
Have a great weekend.
