outside my window... 19F/cloudy/scattered snow showers @ 6:00am

i am thinking... snow, plunging temperatures *sigh* I'm anxiously awaiting Spring

i am thankful for... my ergonomic snow shovel

i am wearing... black jeans, thermal shirt, Aran sweater & ankle booties

i am going... to spend much of the week in my kitchen

i am currently reading...seed catalogs

i am hoping... to successfully prepare my first Bomboloni's for Shrove Tuesday

on my mind... gas @ $2.73/gallon, milk @ $1.53/half gallon, butter @ $2.39/lb

pondering these words...

from the kitchen... 

meatloaf, mashed potatoes & mushroom gravy, orange/honey glazed carrots
egg salad with bagna cauda on grilled ciabatta; beer battered haddock & fries (for Ash Wednesday)

beignets  (dough is proofing)

around the house... all the fixin's for galumpki's/golabki's (stuffed cabbage rolls), and

baking supplies for doughnuts, Irish soda bread, hot cross buns & Irish Potato candies *smile*

one of my favorite things... local maple syrup *yum*
