outside my window... it's partly cloudy, 48F

i am thinking... the property taxes are paid, and all of the bills are current; my self-imposed austerity program for 2013 has been difficult, but I'm happy to be debt-free

i am thankful for... Candy Corn

i am wearing... black jeans, a turtleneck sweater & my Birkies

i am going... to get the car inspected before the end of the month

i am currently reading... "Bull by the Horns," by Sheila Bair

i am hoping... that my first firewood delivery will arrive on time this Friday morning

on my mind... gas @ $3.49/gallon, milk @ $2.99/gallon, sugar @ $2.79/4 lb

from the kitchen... peach mango salsa, canned and ready for holiday gifting; a T-bone steak with onion rings, baked potato, and sauteed fennel with garlic for dinner tonight

around the house... pumpkins, gourds & new firebricks in the woodstove

one of my favorite things... the last breath of summer, a few sunflowers, blooming nasturtiums & chinese lanterns

i'm creating... scrapbooking pages, now that I've gotten my internet re-connected *YAY*

a few plans for the week... grocery shopping, stacking wood, and Digital Scrapbooking Day 11/1 :)
